AMHSA Symposium 2012
The Automated Material Handling Systems Association (AMHSA) is holding its 2012 Symposium, entitled Future Material Handling, on 2nd May at the legendary Silverstone Race Circuit. The main aim of this one day event is to look at the expected trends in warehouse automation over the next five years – an area in which The Logistics Business is a world leader. Subsequently, our Director Jeff Rees has been asked to attend and provide a presentation on the subject.
Jeff will be one of the main speakers and, utilising relevant case studies and his extensive practical experience, will be aiming to answer the following key questions: how can you ensure that your company maintains its lead as automation technology develops over the next five years? How can your company use supply chain efficiency to gain the competitive advantage? The presentation will aim to demonstrate that cutting edge technology, purchased now, can in the future be upgraded to extend its life and provide additional capacity and results.
The event also offers an opportunity to:
- Find out about excepted trends and technologies, and the key role that automation and software will play.
- Discover how to increase productivity and maintain flexibility in the supply chain at the lowest possible cost
- Debate and network with industry leaders and experts.
The day will include a key note speech from Lord Digby Jones, former Director General of the CBI and Minister of UK Trade and Investment, and further presentations from the likes of Tesco and Microsoft.
